While I don't for a moment doubt that the photos could be authentic, there is also so much that gets posted up that is not. The cursed rationalist in me would like to have those pictures expertly checked out.

My post is reminding me of a quote in Anton Chekov's 'Notebook' - 'He was a rationalist, but he had to confess that he liked the ringing of church bells.'

Maybe some irregularities in photos can be rationally explained but not all. I actually saw the orbs when my sister and I and a friend were privileged to see a figure near the Cross on Mount Krisevec at 3:00 o'clock in the morning surrounded by orbs (it reminded me of a display of fireworks); we then saw a beam of light shoot straight up to heaven as we were walking to the sculpture of the Resurrected Christ during our last day in Medjugorje in May 2004. As anyone who has been to Medjugorje knows, there are no artificial lights atop Mount Krisevec. It was just one of several spiritual (and I believe supernatural) graces we received while there; therefore, I need no proof to believe. And I like to think of myself as being pretty rational.

I have read where some "experts" believe that orbs are souls that are trapped on earth for various reasons. So it would make sense to see many orbs (souls) in Medjugorje. If I was a trapped soul on earth I would be running to Medjugorje to ask Mary for help in getting out of here and unto Heaven to be with Her and Her Son Jesus...This could be one of the reasons for her appartion there. To help as many lost souls as possible...

I was told that orbs are angels, which makes sense to me as Mary is usually surrounded by angels. We believe the figure we saw at the Cross was Mary and the beam shooting straight up to heaven was her returning there as well as our human eyes were able to behold it. Praise God, and thank you, Gospa, for the wonderful graces given to us!

Anyone can create these by either throwing some dirt/dust in the air when taking a picture at night, or by taking pictures when it is raining or foggy. I was a ghost hunter for years - and orbs are generally not used as evidence of anything anymore. I agree that some of the other pictures have anomolies that are not easily explained, unless of course, the pictures were doctored.

Bob, I'm sure some of these can be considered dust or moisture spots, just like you say; but my own experience was witnessing these with my own eyes and not through a camera lens. I saw these "orbs" circling in the night sky around the figure on Mount Krizevec. Nevertheless, I do still believe that some photos do indeed show some of these supernatural occurrences.

This is perhaps something interesting which Sister Lucia Dos Santos wrote in her book: Fatima, in Lucia's own words:

"Maybe someone will want to ask: How can you remember all this? How? I don't know. Our dear Lord, Who shares out His gifts as He thinks fit, has allotted to me this little portion-my memory. He alone knows why. And besides as far as I can see, there is this difference between natural and supernatural things: When we are talking to a mere creature, even while we are speaking, we tend to forget what is being said; whereas these supernatural things are ever more deeply engraved on the soul, even as we are seeing and hearing them, so that it is not easy to forget them."

I am also a rationalist, but these pics are 100% authentic, i went with my mate to have them developed the day he got home and later that day we took the pics from his sd card to construct that vid, none of us have a clue how to doctor photos, my mate was also praying for his dad who had cancer and on the day he returned home his dad found out he was cured!! I personally have always believed in god and dont need these to convince me that he exists, although i do have one question about whats happening in medjugorje ill write it at the end of my post

Im not sure about the orbs, but i do know this!!!!! I never in my life photographed any of these and i did my own experiment and ask god to show me some if i took a few pics and there they turned up in my pics, you shoud try it. but i have no idea.

Ok i have a question, i do believe in medjugorje and the catholic religion i just need to know understand 1 message from blessed mary to the visionary, any help understanding this would be great and put my mind at rest

why does she say this when in timothy it says there shall only be one mediator between man and god and thats jesus.

Is there possibly some kind of mistake in translation?

Beautiful photos....

I am not sure what is truly going on in Medjugorje(beinghonest)...but it seems that the energy there is off the charts, energy from things tangible and those things intangible.

There are visionaries who also speak of souls in Purgatory being privileged/'released on licence as it were', so they can adore before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacles and altars of this world. I try to remember them when at Mass.

Perhaps if anyone sees 'orbs', it may be them.

Just need to clarify something....even though I am not sure what is going on in Medjugorje, that does not mean I am saying it contains anything evil.

Evil is the absence of LOVE....and there is LOVE in Medjugorje....

Actually, LOVE exists everywhere when hearts are open....
