In your conversion experience there, were you accompanied by signs and wonders?
No, unless I or anyone else wish to consider my conversion experience a sign or wonder for others… The episode was not accompanied by any manifestion of the sun spinning, or my rosary turning gold, or any vision… just tears and a wonderful sense of release and God’s love for me.
But I don’t deny that there can be ‘signs and wonders’. All of nature is a sign of wonder that most of us take for granted.
I think you said in another thread that you worry that Medjugorje opponents will find ways to discredit Medjugorje if the Triumph doesn't start soon..
I was referring to Marija’s claim that the Triumph would begin this year… Medjuorje won’t be discredited because of all the wonderful fruits it produces (the signs the Church does acknowledge), but perhaps the claims of some of the seers may be tested… hence the panic caused by Marija’s words and the rush to change her comment and interpret it differently.
so does that mean we may not discuss prophetic paths to the Triumph?
There have been many topics discussed on the forum. Everyone has an opinion or their own interpretation. The forum is an opportunity for posters to promote an agenda, a book, a website, or their personal belief. Whether their belief, be it secrets or prophecies, will ever manifest remains to be seen. I’ve lost count of the prophecies given out over the years because of someone’s belief and have failed to manifest.
So let’s wait and see if Marija’s belief in the Triumph begins this year.
In the meantime, as you rightly say, we should continue to pray, especially that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven – a prayer Jesus taught his disciples two thousand years ago. But how many do or have done that since?
As for God’s revelation to our consciences, I can only hope that it will be along the lines of my conversion when he spoke to my heart and said that his love for me was greater than any of my sins. Acceptance of God’s love for each of us, whether we are holy or not, believers or not, is the first step to the Triumph of the Two Hearts.
That kind of revelation happens daily… and not just at Medjugorje. But if you are waiting for it to happen en-masse around the world, then ask yourself why hasn’t God acted already? What is he waiting for? Why the long, slow roll-out at Medjugorje?
As I said in my previous post, when we come face to face with God at death, that will be the time of full illumination, not just of conscience but of heart and soul. Prayer helps us to to be ready for this. His light enters through prayer. Hence the call to prayer and repentance, the call of the Baptist and all the prophets before him, the call of Jesus when he began his mission on earth. Medjugorje is not a new call or a new message. Expect nothing new or revelations from ‘secrets’. We have all we need now through the teaching of the Church, but because of our weaknesses and imperfection, all of us have a need to be reminded of who and what we are made for… God and each other and a heavenly destination when our journey on earth has ended.
