Update on my 11 year old son

This week has been so much better than the last few weeks for him. Yesterday I could see smiles and true joy coming through his facial expressions. It was truly a blessing! He said he had a great day. I asked him "How did you do it"? He said that he focused on one thing at a time, did the best he could, and left the outcome (grade, results, etc.) up to God and let it go. Whatever the outcome, it is God's will for me. A miracle indeed for someone so young to understand that concept of letting it go, but that I believe is the true miracle. I was praying for a release from his worries and anxieties and God gave him a way to do that. We always have something we can worry about, but by him knowing what to do about it (a solution!), I believe, gives him the most release. Thank God! Thank you Blessed Mother! And thanks to all of you who have been so generous with your time and prayers!

God Bless You,
BrianM

Yes, and we are hoping that he can use this newly acquired technique to help himself not worry so much over his mom's upcoming surgery and recuperation. In the past years, this has been a troubling situation for him, as it is for any child I'm sure. All we can do is keep praying for him and supporting and reaffirming that all will be well.

Thanks,
Brian

Just make sure you keep the lines of communication open with your son :D ......I know with my health issues(chronic) and past surgeries, I have always been upfront and honest with my girls...they are now at the ages(11&12) where they understand there are days when mom just doesn`t feel good......

What a beautiful answer to the prayers! We can all learn from what he has learned at 11 years old! :D

Continue to pray - not only for him - but with him together as a family. That will help to give him tremendous support during his times of fear.

You betcha! We used to say our nightly prayers all together and really need to pick up on that again. Thanks for the kind reminder!

God bless you,
