How to prevent back pain on an airplane? My mums very worried as were going to England soon and she is worried because she gets back pain near the middle of her back, also along the spine. Is there a way to prevent it happening i don't want her not to look forward to our trip. Longest time on the plane is 9 hours.

I have the same problem. I take Ibuprofen (I prefer Motrin ) a day before departure and through-out the trip. ( 2 time a day ) You have to Ask the Doctor first on this.!

I choose the seat that close to the back so I can get up and go to stretch as offend as I can. ( she can also get up and stretch in her seat if it;s not blocking the TV )

I also have a hot pack with me too I use it when I get to the hotel from a long traveling day ( it work wonder for me )
