You have to experience Medjugorje to know that many people absolutely "need" to carry home something from Medjugorje. You want something holy to rest in a special place in your home. Some people buy jewelry, others buy books, and still bring back earth and stones from Apparition Hill. I saw them. There on the hill gathering stones and filling their pockets and backpacks.

This is the place where Our Mother comes from Heaven. This holy, holy sacred ground. Of course you want some holy earth to bless your home.

I myself chose earth and what you might call rather large rocks. Just a few and not enough to disturb the holy landscape.

It was time to go home so I packed my "little" boulders in a backpack. Much travel ahead...landed at Frankfurt Airport. I placed my belongings on the belt for screening, including the backpack carrying holy cargo. I walked head to the front to await my things.

I was suddenly in a state of terror when I looked back and saw "my" Holy Boulders traveling separately down the screening belt ( out of the backpack). Then an officious man in a suit approached, took me by the arm, and said "come with me please". I immediately protested with "These are Holy Rocks!" I knew right then I was going to prison! I yelled for my husband... He didn't hear me as I was escorted to a back office. I just kept saying "There are Holy Rocks". They did some testing on them. They woulnt explain. It was Very Scary... I'm an older woman caught by the German police and I felt like I was in another place in time. I thought to myself the Holy Rocks will protect me

They did, and finally we arrived home. After a few days, I carefully with loving hands and prayers set my Holy Boulders atop a garden of roses in the back of my house, surrounded by 18 acres of land and pine tress, and where the river is only 50 yards away. Perfect.
Forgive me but I really needed "my" Holy Boulders. They give me such peace, and Medjugorje is here with me in Vermont.

I love this story. Yes, anyone whose been to Medjugorje has their collection of holy boulders. That will teach everyone to smuggle their holy contraband in their checked luggage.
