I grew up seeing this Statue of The Blessed Mother my entire life. I took this photo of it today with my phone.
Back in 1972 my karate teacher told us this statue was desecrated. I never realized how it was until I got up close this year. The thumbs are missing.
I wonder how much it would cost to repair it. I'm sure it would be expensive.
