3 years ago I went to Medjugorje as a part of the thanksgiving pilgrimage for all that God has done in my life and in the life of my husband. Being in Medjugorje was another confirmation that my personal call was one of mercy, to allow God to spread the message of mercy in His name. I want to share this short testimony here because Mary calls us all to holiness and within God’s mercy all is possible, even for the worst sinners. Only His mercy can help us to walk on the path so beautifully traced by Jesus and walked with Him by Mary. I share only a glimpse of what God has done, I don’t want to bore anyone with too many words

I have always been a Catholic but I walked away from the beauty of our Church, slowly falling into the trap of life away from God. For some reason I didn't remember the love with which He created me and that He embraced me as His own child at the day of my baptism. Not seeing His light, not being aware of His great love for us all, I walked away from His sacraments, from the riches of our Catholic faith.

Without too many details, I could compare my life to a lost sheep, drifting away each day from her best Shepherd, from His chosen flock, from the Father's house. I and my husband came sporadically to the Church, only to walk away again. I considered myself spiritually dead, yet Jesus still saw a spark of life in me. He never gives up hope, even if the soul seems to reject Him. He desired to awake and heal my broken soul and to show His face again to me. I had received Jesus so often in holy communion in the past, but He became a stranger to me by my free will because I chose this world over Him.

However, everything changed for me and my husband when I went on a 3 day retreat. The grace of God was so powerful and so overwhelming that Jesus was able to turn my whole life upside down and to show His face to me as a merciful Lover of all souls. I have never experienced such a tender touch as I did on the final day of my retreat. It was the Divine Mercy Feast, and it was the day of my rebirth. It was the day when God's love had the power to take away all my fears and sins, giving me in exchange His light and trust in His Divine Mercy. I clung to Him that day so tightly that nothing was able to take me away from His loving arms again - no sin, no doubt, no allurement of this passing world, nothing.

Like doubting Thomas, I was allowed that day to touch in faith the wounds of our beloved Jesus. My doubts were the reason for Jesus to reveal Himself to me in the most intimate way, in all humility, displaying all His love as He did for Thomas. He wanted to take all my doubts away and to transform them into loving trust in His infinite goodness and wisdom.

There are so many souls in this world waiting to be found and brought back to the Father's house and we all hold the great treasure in our hands, the message of mercy which the Church celebrates in a special way on the second Sunday of Easter. I thank St. Faustina for writing so much about God's mercy. Reading her diary is like reading a love letter from Jesus. A soul cannot help but fall in love with Him, with His Church, and all the Sacraments, which are so often taken for granted.

Thank you Father, for sending your son Jesus, thank you Jesus, for revealing yourself to us so gently and for bringing us back home. Thank you for bringing me back on the Feast of Divine Mercy. Help us all to see your goodness and to receive your love again as we approach the throne of Divine Mercy, the holy Eucharist, to receive you not only for ourselves, but on behalf of all those who still seek you. Bring them home safely.

What a beautiful testimonial, Helper! :D Your words flowed like Jesus' Mercy flows through our hearts if we let it. I loved your heart-felt prayer at the end...Amen! Jesus is so good to us! Pippy

judy and Pippy,

Thank you for reading this testimony. I have to say that all along Mary was my dearest Mother, since my childhood. I have been reading her monthly message since long time ago. I remember especially one in which she said: open yourself to God as a flower open itself to sun. I printed that message and kept it on my desk as a reminder. She was a background to all that God has accomplished later in Mercy.

Thank you for that lovely testimony, helper. It was written with great love and gentleness, and great conviction and it flowed. It really spoke to me.

You are right about our Mother Mary. She is gentleness and sweetness, and she takes us by the hand so very gently that we hardly notice until we are approaching God's throne, and then we wonder how we got there...

starbright,

This is exactly how she has been working in my life, she is so humble that she never wants to take credit for anything. Always a mother and always pointing only to Jesus. This is why God chose her to be His Mother.

Thank you for kind words.

Fautina's love for God and for His people touched my heart so miraculously, without even noticing I fell deeply in love with her Bridegroom, her Jesus. Reading their sweet conversations I could not believe that God could love so much and the soul could return the love in such an extraordinary way. Her diary was to me like a divine romance with the Crucified Christ. This was the first time in my whole life that I wanted God so completely and I wanted to help Him to spread this message of mercy. It was not only the personal love but also the love for His entire Kingdom. I never read the bible, till after I finished the diary and wanted to know more about Jesus. Faustina’s words were the first to open my eyes to the beauty of our God, especially in the Eucharist.

Faustina was canonized in year 2000. I couldn’t join the mass in Rome so I went to the adoration chapel to be able to unite my heart to Jesus’ in this celebration. As I knelt before Him I could join my praises with the angels adoring His Heart and celebrating this glorious day with Him. I have never experienced such a thanksgiving in my heart. I felt like Jesus was in love, He was crying with tears of joy as the Divine Mercy Feast was instituted at this very moment. His ardent desire, His hope had been fulfilled. Praise and praise the Lord. May His Holy Name be lifted high and for ever glorified. Our God and our Lord. All thanks to Mary for guiding Faustina in obedience and humility.

Thank you for listening

Over the past years God has been so kind giving me many sign about the importance of Divine Mercy in my life.

Among them was giving me a painting of Jesus of Divine Mercy through someone I never even met in person. One day a woman phoned me and told me that someone from the Church gave her my phone number. She was very sick and she thought that she was dying (she had a car accident and half of her body was paralyzed). We started to talk on the phone, pray together, over masses for her health and she was healed.

One day she wanted to thank me and a thought came to her mind of paining an image of Jesus. She was not Catholic so she has never heard about Faustina and Jesus' message. I finally met her on our Lady of Guadelupe feast in December and she brought to the Church a HUGE painting (she found an artist to paint it) of Jesus with two rays and a signature, Jesus I trust in you. I have this painting in my bedroom.

There were so many other times when similar things have happened and I can not tell you enough about the beauty of God's mercy.

Image You are welcome.

I just came back from a 7 day retreat in Queenswood Center (Canada). Such a beautiful place to meditate and to be with God. Away from the noise of this world and closer to the nature and wonders of God's might. From time to time we all to be on a desert with God alone. I thanked Mary and Jesus for all that they do for us and for different ways in which God brings us back to Himself.

YES!!!

I just came back from Poland, I visited Crakow and the Divine Mercy Sanctuary. It was my birthday gift . Praise be Jesus for His Divine Mercy and for loving us so tenderly.

I was in Crakow also 4 years ago, when John Paul II came to bless the Basilica of Divine Mercy. He consecrated the whole world that very day to the merciful heart of God. He was already sick and weak but nothing could stop him from visiting and celebrating the mass. I had a special invitation to attend that mass and I will never forget its power and beauty. I already shared with other friends on the forum that when the crowd left I went up to the tabernacle and kissed every step  and the tabernacle itself . I kissed the altar on which the Holy Father just celebrated the mass and my soul danced as prayed for every soul I knew thanking God for that awsome gift of being there.

Dear Ceena,

Divine Mercy is completely everything to me, when I started to read the diary of St. Faustyna I could not believe how deeply Jesus loved us all. I can't even imagine my life without His mercy. May God bless you and keep you always in His grace.
